The 2011 Summit, to be held at on the campus of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida, will be a continuation of a very important dialogue that began at SoGreen Network's Greening the Southeast Summit held in Savannah this past April. It provided a platform for our 1890 Land Grants and HBCUs to begin establishing a common agenda for the Southeast on issues of climate change, alternative fuel sources, sustainable agriculture, and the role our farmers and landowners play in becoming partners that will work toward changing our regional environment.

Please Join Us to Address Issues Of:
  • Enhancing The Partnerships between 1890 Land Grants and under-served Farmers and Landowners
  • Biofuel Feed Stock for Alternative Fuel Supply - Growing Coops
  • Sustainable Agriculture and the Environmental Impact
  • 1890 Land Grant Institutions/HBCUs creating a curriculum for the "sustainable professional"
  • Strengthening 1890 Land Grant Institutions/HBCUs Community Involvement on Environmental Issues
  • Local Food Access for Low Wealth Communities
  • Climate Change - Issues Specific to Southeastern Region
